Manage Categories
Categories are used to group various tours together. This has changed to Tags, which allows greater flexibility for organizing tours. Categories are displayed as “Tags” on front-end.
To edit, delete a category, add, remove items, and to change the display order of categories, click on “Categories” icon on Dashboard or click triangle next to Tours tab and select Category from drop-down menu.
Add Category
To add Category click the
button on upper right corner. Enter Category name and click on “Add Category” button to save. Now you can see new category in the left had frame.
To Edit Category…
Click the
button on upper right corner and select the category on the list in the left hand frame. You will see Category Details screen. Edit name and click on “Save Changes” button.
To Delete Category….
On Category Details screen, click the
button on upper right corner.
Please note that Inventories under the Category that you are deleting is still accessible form the “All Products” section after you delete the Category.
To Add a Inventory to a Category…
Use the Add link on Category Details screen. A pop-up window will appear and display all of your existing Tours. To select multiple of inventories, push down “Ctrl” key on your keyboard and click on lists, then click “Submit” button. You also can search the Inventory using Search field.
To Remove a Tour from a Category…
Tours added to the category are displayed on Category Details screen. Use the Red X Icon to remove the item from the category.
* Adding and removing items can be done also on Tour Details screen in the Inventory section.
To Change Category Order…
Categories are displayed as Tags on front-end. You can change the order of this list on the main screen of Categories section.
On the main screen of the section, click
. It will open a window and show you the current list of categories. Drag & drop Category Names to reorder, and click Done.
The new order affects the list in the left hand frame immediately. The display order works both on back-end and front-end.

I just discovered Rezgo and love it so far! I started setting up my tours, however I was hoping to be able to add tours to several categories when necessary.
On my website, some of the excursions are repeated in different categories (ex. “Louvre Museum” in Art & History as well as Half-day Excursion), and I am worried that my clients will not find them if it appears in only one category on Rezgo.

Hi Celia,
We are rolling out a new tagging structure that will replace the categories. This will allow you to assign multiple tags (keywords) to each of your tours. This will make it easier for your customers to find your tours. The new interface also includes a more robust searching mechanism which should also help. The first version of the tagging will use the existing category structure and the next phase will be to add tagging to each tour.
